How to go to Namsan Seoul Tower?
How to go to Love Lock?
How to go to N Seoul Tower by bus?
Direction to Seoul Tower?

I went crazy googling all these questions. None answered my desired question regarding how to go to the famous Love Lock (or some call it Love Padlock) the most romantic spot in Korea where couples lock their love and vow to be together forever. If you are on the same shoes as mine last week, here is the best way to go there:

First of all, if you are wondering what is Namsan (N) Seoul Tower? Here it is, the icon of Seoul.

The Love Lock is located at Namsan Seoul Tower, but not on the top floor.

To go to Namsan Seoul Tower, you can take taxi or bus or by climbing up on foot. Since I stayed at Chungmuro, I went to Chungmuro Station exit 3, waited at the bus station there. Bus number 02 and 05 will take you to Namsan Seoul Tower, at the bus parking area. Those buses will cost you 950 won. Taxi will also took you here.

At the bus parking area, there’s a CU mini market which sells padlocks for 5,000 won. A bit pricey for a “made in china” padlock, but you’ll have no choice :p

After this stop, you will have to walk up to the entrance. Many reviews on blogs were saying it took 10-30 minutes walking, but we only took approximately 5 minutes. It’s not that far, really!

It’s a 5 minutes walking distance, but it’s also a very steep hill. My mom decided not to continue going up the hill, so she stayed at the CU mini market.

When you arrived at the top (not the top of the tower, ya..), there will be people selling bottled water and can drinks, in the shape of love! Of course!

The two survivor, Benakribo and me!

At that level, there will be 2 other levels, I called it upper and lower level, see picture above :p

On the lower level, you can see these tree of locks! The story behind this locks of love is that couples who lock their vow here, will be forever attached to each other :)

Here is pictures from the upper level.

Though I didn’t go there with my bf, I found it cute to lock our names there. So here is my blue padlock!

And instead of throwing the keys, I kept them and brought them back to Jakarta as a souvenir for my bf. Hehehe.

So that’s all. Going to Love Lock is FREE. If you want to continue going up to the top of N Seoul Tower, I think you will need to pay for an admission fee.

To go back to the city, you only need to wait for bus number 02 & 05 and pay another 950 won. Easy!

Got questions? Ask me! :)
