[Report] Destination Europe: Travel And Culture Fair, Balai Kartini – Jakarta

So today I went to Destination Europe, Indonesia’s biggest Europe travel and culture fair to date. Went to Balai Kartini with Mom. She’s the right person to go with, because she’s been a fan of Europe since forever but never been there :(. I thought going to this travel and culture fair could cheer her up somehow :D

I was right. She went “haaaaa seru bangeeeett” every time we pass by a booth. *exhale*

How to go to Destination Europe
Balai Kartini is located at Jalan Jendral Gatot Subroto Kav 37. It’s in the middle of Jakarta, you can go from Jalan Sudirman or Kuningan.

What to do in Destination Europe
From face painting to tasting delicious Monde cookies, from learning basic French to testing your knowledge in “which flag belongs to which country” game, everything about Europe was there. With just IDR 10.000 as entrance fee, you can visit all European countries (in the shape of an exhibition booth :p). Best thing is, you’ll have a chance to win a pair of return tickets to any Europe destinations! *deep inhale*

So why wait? Tomorrow, October 19th is the last day of the exhibition. Go there and enjoy Europe! :)

++My favorite booths:

Sweden. You can dress up in Sweden’s traditional costume and take own pictures. And with just tweeting the picture to social media, you can get a free recipe book. Yummy!

Netherland. Also a photobooth, but here they will print your photo to be taken home as a souvenir.

France. They sell a very delicious croissant and other french bakery too.

Zahra. Of course, Turkey’s signature Ice Cream was there. Their ice cream seller + magician never fail to entertain customers. Oh, and the ice cream tasted gooooood!

The Great Britain. Just because. (Sorry I have no explanation on this one, as I always love England and all their red-white-blue stuffs!).
